Under Armour SpeedForm Slingshot

It's Sock-Like, So Pliable, So Comfortable!

The Under Armour SpeedForm Slingshot is a high-end training/racing model, maximized for performance from top to bottom.

The upper begins life on a 3D knitting machine in a sweater factory and surrounds the foot with three levels of support: loose compression in the toes, mid-compression in the heel to allow dynamic movement during the stride, and high compression in the “burrito wrap” that surrounds the arch and instep.

Testers raved about the “sock-like” fit that hugs the foot. Susan Cotley of San Diego said, “I have trouble finding shoes that fit in both my heel and toes; these are excellent in both areas.”

Underfoot, two types of foam sandwich a Y-shaped plate in the midsole that flexes and springs back with each stride (the “slingshot” of the shoe’s name).

Testers found them as fast-feeling as promised, but commented that the lack of support restricted them to short runs and races except for the very light and efficient.

The Under Armour SpeedForm Slingshot is so close to the best shoe what runner wants.

It's lighter, more responsive, and a sleek look. It falls short in the fit of the upper.

It would like to see the knit mirror the lateral (outside) of the shoe and be able to get a better fit with the lacing.

The heel cup fit needs to be addressed to get this shoe to the next level. For the first try it seems to be too firm for the tastes.

The Speedform Slingshot doesn’t have an insole. Wearing it around softened up the shoe just enough to make feet happy.

So Where to grab this stuff?
